About the artist

I have drawing and painting since I was five years old. Mostly drawing and painting for my family. But, starting in 1992 with the encouragement of my Uncle Jose Vargas I began entering art shows in Dallas, Texas starting at the Bathhouse Cultural Center entering Day of the Dead Celebration.

As a teen I learned about Jose Posada to Frida Kahlo, then surrealism of Salvador Dali to the realism of Gustave Courbet, learning and growing as an artist moving from Claude Monet to Tamura Yoshimasa and swallowing it up and wanting to learn more.

My work has been in venues including The Bathhouse Cultural Center in Dallas, Texas, The Pickery in New Orleans, Louisiana, 111 Minna St. gallery in San Francisco, and many others.

In 2017 my brother Christopher Jaramillo A.K.A. D.J. Cosmic Selector created a series of art shows called From Here to There Art and Music Oakland, CA. I hoped to continue our work together But, in 2020, My brother Chris Jaramillo passed away on June 13, 2020, and now life is on hold for a while. But we believe everything will all be okay; I have to think about that.

Would you please keep painting, drawing, or doodling? Love you all.
